An air cooled chiller absorbs excess heat from processed water. The heat is then transferred to the air surrounding the chiller unit. This chiller system is most often used when the additional heat it discharges does not matter. Sometimes the excess heat is in fact utilized; say to warm a plant during winter, which leads to cost savings. This chiller system requires lower maintenance as compared to a water cooled system. In fact, it also does not need a condenser water pump or a cooling tower. But the air cooled chiller consumes 10 percent more power than the water cooled unit as a wet surface transfers more heat than a dry surface. There are many types of air cooled chillers available in the market, including packaged units, split unites, semi-hermetic units, fractional chillers and portable chiller units. The right chiller system can be selected based on one’s needs and application.

Craigslist Apartments- the bait & switch
If you are smack dab in the middle of an apartment hunt, you can become very mad at brokers because they suck and are simply in it to get you in an apartment regardless of how well it works for your lifestyle, budget, or tastes. Tiny places are “cozy,” expensive places are “a great value for the size,” and 7th floor walk ups mean “you’ll get plenty of exercise!” Total grabage. In your desperation, you may turn to the internet and start looking at craigslist apartments- but the meetings you set up through this exchange may turn out to be equally maddening. Brokers will bait and switch you; they will put up pics of one place, and then as soon as you come out to look at it, say “that unit was JUST rented, but let me show you this other one around the corner!” They have no shame and will gladly scam you to make a quick buck. Jerks!
